At first it did not work, but then it did after one simple fix
Piece of Junk. Worked one time, then went dead. Thought it could be the battery so bought new batteries….still assumed room temperature (aka dead).DON’T waste your money.UPDATE: After getting a message from their customer service on what could be causing the problem, I used their suggestion and the thermometer worked as advertised. There is a small button located on the side of the unit that the probe is on, and that button needs to be pulled up slightly using your fingernails so that it will release when the probe is pulled to start the thermometer, and then pushed back afterward when the probe is put back to turn the thermometer off. If you don’t do this it will not work and after reading a lot of the negative reviews my guess is that this was the reason for their problem.I think the description should be a little more explanatory on this, but other than that it’s a good product. Thus my update.

First digital meat thermometer I bought. It is a fantastic compact tool. Easy to use and very accurate. Have used it numerous times since acquiring. Good value. Highly recommend.

Works as expected. Backlit screen and magnetic features are a great plus!

Iâve had this meat thermometer for months and it works great. Reads temperature accurately and easy to use. The metal stick can be a bit hard to open or close but not too bad.
